We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy materials conversion team at Baker Labels in Brentwood, Essex.

What You’ll Be Doing

Our materials conversion facility is an important part of the Bakers operation, helping us prepare and supply the materials used in label production.

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be helping to keep things organised, supporting our production team and making sure materials are ready when they’re needed.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Loading materials onto our slitting machines to support production.
• Handling and moving materials safely around the warehouse.
• Carrying out general warehouse and housekeeping duties.
• Keeping your working area clean, tidy and organised.
• Working alongside colleagues to help maintain an efficient and safe working environment.

It’s a physical, hands-on role where good teamwork, reliability and attention to detail really count.

What We’re Looking For

We’re not expecting you to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you’re dependable, willing to learn and happy to get involved.

Skills and Qualities

• A hardworking, reliable and positive attitude.
• Some knowledge or experience of warehouse work or materials handling would be helpful.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out regular manual handling duties.
• A willingness to learn new skills and embrace training and continuous improvement.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• An organised, methodical approach to your work.

A forklift truck licence would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
