Baker Labels Sponsors Young Karting Talent Roman Curtis
Baker Labels is pleased to announce a new 12-month sponsorship of 14-year-old karting driver Roman Curtis, supporting him as he continues to develop his racing career in grassroots motorsport.
The sponsorship has been organised by Alby Saunders of Burwood Motorsports, a grassroots motorsport management and sponsorship platform that helps young drivers access the support, structure and exposure needed to progress in the sport.
Roman recently visited Bakers with his parents and brought his kart along to our Brentwood site, giving us the opportunity to meet him properly, hear more about his racing ambitions and measure up the kart for new Bakers decals. Steve, Harry and Tom Baker were also photographed with Roman outside Bakers to mark the start of the sponsorship.
Roman has already achieved an impressive amount at a young age. He is a multiple Brentwood Championship winner and, in 2025, finished 7th overall at the Sodi World Series World Finals in Malaga, Spain, competing against some of the best junior drivers in the world. He has also passed his Motorsport UK ARKS test and is now preparing to take on more kart-owner competitions as he continues to build experience and progress through the sport.
For Bakers, this sponsorship is part of our wider commitment to supporting young people with talent, ambition and dedication. Whether through apprenticeships, education, community projects, STEM initiatives or sport, we believe in giving young people opportunities to grow, develop and pursue what they love.
We’re excited to follow Roman’s progress over the next 12 months and look forward to seeing the Bakers branding out on track.
Good luck Roman – everyone at Bakers will be cheering you on!
