Bakers Supports All-Girls Robotics Team at VEX World Championships

What do a label manufacturer in Brentwood and a world-class robotics competition in St Louis have in common? A shared belief in innovation, engineering, and the next generation of talent.

Supporting the Next Generation of Engineers

At Bakers, we’re always looking for ways to support young people pushing boundaries in technology. So when we were approached by an all-girls robotics team who had qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championships, we were keen to learn more.
After meeting the team over a Teams call, we were genuinely impressed. Their focus, technical knowledge and teamwork stood out straight away, and it was clear they had already achieved something special by becoming the only all-girls team from the UK to qualify for the world finals.

Team Enigma’s Journey to the World Finals

We were proud to support Team 11850X NLCS Enigma with a £2,000 contribution towards their travel costs to St Louis, helping them compete on a global stage alongside hundreds of other teams.

Competing at the VEX Robotics World Championships

The VEX World Championships is no small event – bringing together over 500 teams from across the world to compete in engineering challenges that test design, coding and problem-solving skills. Over three days of competition, the team performed exceptionally well in both matches and skills challenges, competing in a division of 84 teams.

Award-Winning Performance on the Global Stage

We’re delighted to share that their hard work paid off, as they were awarded the Judges Award, recognising strong engineering practices, teamwork and a well-documented design process. A fantastic achievement at such a high level of competition.

“We’re really proud of what we achieved at the VEX World Championship, especially being awarded the Judges Award. It recognises the engineering, teamwork and design work we’ve put in throughout the season. Thank you again to Baker Labels for your support – it made a significant difference in helping us attend and achieve this result.” Angela Fei, Team 11850X NLCS_Enigma

Inspiring More Girls into STEM

Beyond the results, what stood out most to us was the team’s drive to represent and inspire. With girls still underrepresented in STEM fields, their success – and visibility on a global stage – helps encourage more young women to pursue careers in engineering and technology.

Proud to Support Future Talent

It was also great to see the Bakers logo proudly displayed on their team kit and banners throughout the event, representing our support all the way in the USA.
We’d like to congratulate the team on an incredible achievement and thank them for allowing us to be part of their journey. We look forward to following their progress as they head into the next season.
